The exhibition’s organizers, Aziza Chaouni and Liat Margolis, will present recent research projects in Morocco, the Sahara, and the Israel/Jordan/Palestine watershed at their lecture on Thursday, November 11th, in the Ahmanson Main Space at Woodbury University, Burbank, CA.
Aziza Chaouni and Liat Margolis serve on the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto.
Aziza Chaouni, Principal of Bureau E.A.S.T, was awarded a Progressive Architecture Award in 2007 for Hybrid Urban Sutures. Her project, Filling the Gaps in the Medina of Fez, received Holcim Gold Awards in both Regional and Global catagories. She was Agha Khan Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2006-2007.
Liat Margolis is co-author of Living Systems: Innovative Materials and Technologies for Landscape Architecture (BIrkhaüser 2007). She is a founder and Director of Materials Research at Harvard's Graduate School of Design, focussing on advanced technologies for architecture, landscape, and ecological design.
Lectures are free and open to the public.
